Eric Holder to DOJ/FBI: Prepare for War

President Donald Trump raised a few eyebrows when, during an impromptu interview with The New York Times at his golf club in West Palm Beach, he stated that he had “the absolute right” to do whatever he wanted to with the DOJ.

“It makes the country look very bad, and it puts the country in a very bad position,” Mr. Trump said of the investigation. “So the sooner it’s worked out, the better it is for the country.”

Asked whether he would order the Justice Department to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, Mr. Trump appeared to remain focused on the Russia investigation.

“I have absolute right to do what I want to do with the Justice Department,” he said, echoing claims by his supporters that as president he has the power to open or end an investigation. “But for purposes of hopefully thinking I’m going to be treated fairly, I’ve stayed uninvolved with this particular matter.”

Of course, Holder couldn’t let that one go:

Uh, no Eric, you’re wrong on this one. Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution does give the president power over the DOJ and every appointed member thereof.

As the first and only attorney general to be held in both criminal and civil contempt of Congress, Holder’s disregard for the law not only makes itself evident through his rampant criminality, but through the lies he spews out on Twitter.
