Stupidly, the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security intend to let the EMP Commission terminate on Sept. 30. Despite the ominous and growing EMP threat from North Korea, no one at DOD or DHS has asked Congress to continue the EMP Commission.
The House Armed Services Committee may establish a new EMP Commission and replace the existing EMP commissioners in the FY2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). But there is no substitute for the existing EMP Commission, which comprises the greatest body of expertise in the Free World.
The EMP Commissioners have proposed plans to protect the U.S from the existential threat that is EMP—opposed by lobbyists for the electric power industry.
They will not be scraping the EMP commission. They are removing it from the public eye. Does that make sense?
The government doesn’t want people to be aware of what is really going on. Tragedies and threats are only dragged out into the civilian sphere when it is to the advantage of those in powers.

Dawn Edwards LOL i know the only people directly affected from an emp blast would be grid related then of course you don’t understand that generators like coal and diesel would lock up because the soft electronics would fry but well Diodes can be replaced.. Nuclear compounds would simply force shutdown they are already emp proof. EMP is just an electro pulse. yeah it’s troublesome and it will down a lot of gear but it can be overcomed..
