Donald Trump: Running Against Warren Would Be a ‘Dream Come True’

Donald Trump and Elizabeth Warren are polar opposites in every imaginable way — but Trump isn’t worried about running against the Democrat’s most anti-Trump politician. In fact, he’s looking forward to the opportunity.

President Trump said in an interview Saturday night that he would gladly run against Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren in 2020, calling that scenario “a dream come true.”

“I think she would lose so badly,” Trump told Fox News’ Jesse Watters. “She hurt Hillary Clinton very badly” during the 2016 campaign.

Watters suggested that Warren is likely to challenge Trump for re-election in 2020.

“I hope so,” Trump responded. “That would be a dream come true.”

A race between Warren and Trump would put a distinct ideological choice on the ballot. Considering the far more moderate Clinton failed to beat Trump, Warren’s chances seem close to zero. Not only is the country running to the right — she may be the only politician in America who is less personally palatable than Clinton.

Trump is right. Her nomination would be a dream come true for many Republican voters.
