DHS Secretary: “If You Knew What I Know, You Wouldn’t Leave The House”


Kelly noted that because he has access to the latest intelligence and classified information, there’s a lot the government isn’t sharing with the public.

I was telling [Fox host] Steve [Doocy] on the way in here, if he knew what I knew about terrorism, he’d never leave the house in the morning.”

Kelly referenced the recent terror attacks from last week, and indicated there were “by generally the same groups.”

It’s everywhere. It’s constant. It’s nonstop. The good news for us in America is we have amazing people protecting us every day. But it can happen here almost anytime.”

In the Philippines, the Army launched a major initiative against ISIS militants in the southern part of the country on the island of Mindanao. In the Muslim city of Marawi, ISIS gunmen attacked in retaliation. In the ensuing battle, 103 people died.

Meanwhile in Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital, a suicide bomber killed three police officers and injured 11.

After the attack on the Coptic Christians, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi called an emergency meeting to determine how best to respond to the terrorist attack.

ISIS claimed responsibility for last Monday’s bombing after the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, in which 22 were killed 22 and more than 100 injured, some critically.

Suicide bombings continue on a regular basis in Afghanistan and Iraq.

On his recent foreign trip, President Donald Trump called for a united front by the Arab Gulf States against Islamic terrorism and urged NATO partners to ramp up their efforts as well.

President Trump and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis have indicated that the Trump Administration policy will be the total annihilation of ISIS.
