Denver Charges Man For Educating Jurors on Their Rights

After the man set up a booth passing out fliers with info on jury nullification, he was arrested with seven counts of “jury tampering”, as they claimed he was trying to influence the jurors. According to Denver Post:

Mark Iannicelli, 56, set up a small booth with a sign that said “Juror Info” in front of the city’s Lindsay-Flanigan Courthouse courthouse, prosecutors say.

The Denver District Attorney’s Office says Iannicelli provided jury nullification flyers to jury pool members.

“Iannicelli has been released from custody on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond,” the office said in a Thursday news release.

Now it’s a crime to tell people their rights. Unbelievable. When communication starts to become criminalized, you know you’re living in a police state.
