The Authorization for Use of Military Force passed by the Senate is a rewrite of the Constitution’s War Powers clause and grants the President broad authority to deploy ground troops almost everywhere in the world, including the United States. That’s the warning being voiced by Democratic Senator Chris Murphy in response to the AUMF bill proposed by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The bill would grant the president overwhelming control over where the US forces are deployed, which is scary for two reasons. The first is the obvious threat to American citizens’ rights. If the military can be sent to an American city based on loose justifications, they could be used to impose martial law and even empower a police state that has already grown too powerful.
The second reason is the plain call back to Manifest Destiny. Americans do not want to police the world. If the European Union is too busy handling the migrant crisis and Russia has finally come to terms with the harsh economic reality that their country is on the brink of collapse, it would leave the United States to ensure the sovereignty of all democratic nations. A solution that nobody would want.

Funny thing the constitution. It CAN NOT be changed by the capricious acts of congress as the Supreme Court said in Marbury v Madison 1803.
Lynda Silva – – you may recall that Dr./Attorney Orly Taitz has spent years,and court cases, on Obama/SSN 042-68-4425 – -Security application of resident of CT, Harrison (Harry) Bounel and suspected fraudulent Draft Registration! Also Taitz presented information to the Superior Court of California in the Fourth District Court of Appeals in the case of Taitz v. Obama, Feinstein, Emken (The case number is G047746 and the Superior Court case number is 30-2012-00582135), in which seeking to have Barack Obama produce his registration record at Occidental College. (In the original case there were over 100 pages that documented that Barack Obama was a citizen of Indonesia at the time he attended Occidental and that he has used fraudulent means to secure Identification. )
However, Superior Court Judge Charles Marginis ruled in favor of Occidental College and denied Taitz’s motion to force them to produce Obama’s college registration forms. – That’s all the ‘facts’ that I can post here at this time. IMO, there have been, and continues to be, ‘covers-ups’ on both
