Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) discussed the new ruling granting same-sex marriage in the U.S. on MSNBC’s “Up w/ Steve Kornacki.” She explained that, in her opinion, business owners should not be able to refuse to serve homosexuals on grounds of religious beliefs. Baldwin had a confusing logic to support her notion, though. After all, shouldn’t a business owner’s right to freedom of religion, enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution protect him from being forced to act counter to his faith?
Senator Baldwin had to do some crazy progressive gymnastics to bend her logic to fit, but she came up with an answer:
Senator,
I am exercising my First Amendment right and calling you a blithering idiot!!
Who puts all these idiots in office?
Arrest her for treason.
Remove all Democrats from office asap and then the rino’s. Let’s clean this up.
Well it is for sure this is where the libs want to take the First Amendment..2nd Amendment and the rest. They are frantically trying to re-write our history and our founding do$#%&!@*ents.
I’m sorry Senator. But your statement regarding the first amendment is absurd and totally incorrect. Does anyone in politics study the history of this nation?? Okay so here’s the First Amendment of the Cons$#%&!@*ution of The United States of America.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to $#%&!@*emble, and to pe$#%&!@*ion the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Also here’s a statement made by Thomas Jefferson regarding the First Amendment. I think his statement is far more valid than yours considering that he was alive at the time of the Cons$#%&!@*utional Convention and was friends with a majority of the people whom signed the Cons$#%&!@*ution.
“Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should “make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” thus building a wall of separation between Church & State. Adhering to this expression of the supreme will of the nation in behalf of the rights of conscience, I shall see with sincere satisfaction the progress of those sentiments which tend to restore to man all his natural rights, convinced he has no natural right in opposition to his social duties.” – Thomas Jefferson
Maybe I should run for office and show these crackpots how it’s done 🙂
you mean you only have LIMITED Freedom of Speech?
I’m sorry Senator. But your statement regarding the first amendment is absurd and totally incorrect. Does anyone in politics actually study the history of this nation?? If she tries to enforce what she says, she herself is in clear violation of the Ninth Amendment!
Okay so here’s the First Amendment of the United States Cons$#%&!@*ution.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to $#%&!@*emble, and to pe$#%&!@*ion the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Here’s the Ninth Amendment of the United States Cons$#%&!@*ution.
“The enumeration in the Cons$#%&!@*ution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
Also here’s a statement made by Thomas Jefferson regarding the First Amendment. I think his statement is far more valid than yours considering that he was alive at the time of the Cons$#%&!@*utional Convention and was friends with a majority of the people whom signed the Cons$#%&!@*ution.

Maybe I should run for office and show these crackpots how to run things the American way 🙂
