Filmmaker and American citizen Agustin Blazquez never thought his native Cuba would become a communist country, but now he sees the same radical shift happening in America.
In this exclusive video interview for The Daily Caller News Foundation, he says the left has been clever by using “very non-threatening words,” like liberal, progressive and concerned citizens, for advancing government control of American lives. The truth about Cuban politics is hard to find because of media spin and propaganda dominating American discourse.
For Blazquez, watching American youth embrace avowed socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders for president, strikes him as “absurd.” It is the end result, he says, of the cultural marxist education and media propaganda that has anesthetized too many Americans who do not defend the values that made America exceptional.
Watching President Barack Obama travel to Cuba, he says, made him “want to throw up.” This was a “betrayal to victims of communism,” the filmmaker of “Covering Cuba” says. Blazquez adds there are “so many [Nelson] Mandelas” in Cuban prisons, who are tortured, denied medical attention and abused. Yet, prominent black elites from America, including most incredibly to him, the Congressional Black Caucus, are wined and dined by the political elites but are blind to their “betrayal of blacks in Cuba.”
As the “fundamental transformation of America” continues under Obama’s governance, Blazquez warns that elites in America are in a precarious situation. Their privileges, rights and property could evaporate fast with America’s trend towards erosion of liberties. “Wake up, America!” the Cuban-American proclaims.
Obama recently tried to normalize relations with Cuba and traveled there to meet with President Raul Castro. Both he and brother Fidel later criticized and mocked Obama and publicly declared that Cuba would remain a communist/socialist country, in spite of the fact that it is an economic basket case.
The political elites in Cuba will survive comfortably, which is the case in every socialist regime, but the common citizen will suffer horribly from the corrupt system. The embrace of socialism by the elites and students in this country is all the more amazing when they can see the fruits of the corrupt and cruel system 90 miles off of our shoreline. If only we could have these confused and ignorant folks (including Obama) spend a year or two in the “workers paradise,” it would change their opinion in a heart beat.

I love what is being said here. I find it incredible that people in this country can’t see what is happening to our country. My sister in law used to say that the only true communist country left in the world is the United States and I used to laugh at her saying that. I now realize how prophetic and true it was. I tirelessly campaigned for Trump in my limited capacity. I donated money that I couldn’t afford, and I prayed for deliverance from a communist party that calls itself democrat. If only people would understand that communism doesn’t work in the real world for anyone except the power elite then we would have a true renaissance in the United States. I’m fairly old, and I woulf probably not be alive to see the direct effects of a communist president like the Clintons but the children of America deserve better.
