The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
Muslims can move out of this country if they don’t like what is being said or what signs are posted, free speech and the Muslims are free to leave

This is sad. They don’t make people stop swearing just cause it rubs me the wrong way…why should someone take down a word about a popular food just cause it rubs someone the wrong way. Come on Vermont, if a sector of people don’t like a food don’t go in there. They are no better than we are.
