The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

So here it goes. I am an American Muslim. Proud no issue. When you accept a fact of living in non muslim country you expect and understand that non of the restaurants will cater to your needs. I go to Red Lobster and eat fish, I know they serve alcohol drinks and pork, so. I go to local Mexican restaurant which I love but I can’t have beans due to the point that they use lard. Etc and etc I can keep writing till tomorrow. I don’t ask any local restaurant to move a sign or change menu because of my beliefs. Therefore I find it stupid to remove a sing because it was offending Muslims. So what about Jewish they don’t eat pork or bacon?! This is just very silly. When it comes for safety I always get dirty looks because of my religion but I don’t even think to look at somebody the same way. So PLEASE, stop blaming everything on religion

If you educate yourselves about the dangers of eating pork you might be surprised how bad pork is for you and you will give it up altogether, it has worms in it and other bad things and on you tube it even shows the worms coming out of the pork when they pour a can of coke on it and our pastor did that and we got to see the worms come out and just read up about all the dangers of eating pork, even the bible says not to eat pork it is very bad.
