The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

I would never give in to them , I would put up a bigger sign ! Too much mamby pamby stuff going on , no one stands up for OUR rights ~ they offend me , as do the athiests .
What if they demanded bacon not to be served. Like Handy wipes in Kentucky Fried chicken gave in and they were removed

We have just as much right; actually more to have BACON signs and anything else that is “American” Because this is AMERICA, the Land of the FREE and the HOME of the Brave…not the land that has to bow -down to anyone. I feel sorry for the restaurant owner, if they keep backing off to every objection present…they will loose the restaurant….this is just the start.
