The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
The more people knuckle under to muslims complaining the more they win. Go back to the sandbox.

A lot of you are spewing such hate and ignorance. Are muslims allowed in this country? Yes. Do they have the right to practice their beliefs? Absolutely, that’s the beauty of this country. Should they impose their beliefs on others? Absolutely not, it defeats the purpose of this freedom but it’s been happening longer than you realize except with christianity imposing their beliefs to the masses. People are aganist gay marriage, abortion… etc and why? Mostly due to christian beliefs. I’m just saying if you’re going to be offended by muslims imposing their beliefs then be offended by all religions that try to impose on individual rights. Let’s not be hypocrites. Also, the bacon sign should’ve never been taken down… it’s a sign… it’s not like they’re pouring down bacon from the g*****n sky! You don’t want or like bacon then go somewhere else? It’s not a hard concept… sign definitely needs to be put back up. They have that right.
I feel the same way about the Muslims as I do the JW’s that is who they are and that is fine as long as they do not pull their beliefs and practices on me and my country~~~However at this point I feel that the Muslim’s have been given way to much freedom in our Wonderful Country which they have proven time after time to disrespect and all they are here for is anything that our Wonderful Current President is willing to give them~~~The JW’s knocked on our door one day and asked for my husband and I said I am sorry he is not here and by the way we are Nazarene~~~Thank You Jesus for Saving Me~~~And for everything that you give us each and every day~~~I believe all of the illegals should be deported back to Cuba or Mexico~~~They only want our handouts and our own people who are legal American’s deserve them before the illegals~~~Deport all of them all with our Current President and His Wonderful Family~~~I am done now~~~
