The Trump administration hasn't even officially started yet, but Democrats are already exhibiting the signs of what might be called Trump Derangement Syndrome.
What is Trump Derangement Syndrome you ask? There are many symptoms of it – for instance, reading innuendo into statements made by Trump where there is none and zeroing in on the most unremarkable personal habits of the president-elect and citing them as proof of how he will govern – but above all it is a petty, pitiful condition that makes one evaluate individuals and ideas based on how they intersect with the real estate tycoon-turned-successful presidential candidate.
So this means that people who until very recently rubbed shoulders with Trump on a regular basis now denounce him as a racist bigot and, ironically enough, transpose these baseless allegations to anyone who still has the temerity to associate with him, a phenomenon that is especially apparent in their reaction to his cabinet nominations.
