A 61-year-old man was shot and killed by a police officer trying to enforce Maryland’s new ‘red flag’ gun confiscation law on Monday morning.
Maryland passed a law on October 1st providing for “extreme risk protective orders,” also known as a “red flag” law, which allows virtually anyone to file an ex parte petition with the court alleging that the gun owner poses an immediate danger to himself or others because he or she possesses a firearm.
If the court issues the order, police will show up at the person’s residence and seize their firearms without any notice or warning whatsoever.
All it takes is hearsay from a family member, neighbor, dating partner, etc. for the gun owner to have his or her Second Amendment rights stripped away by a secret court hearing.

Totally and completely preventable. This was a contradiction of the United States Constitution and negligence on the part of law enforcement. They decided to use force against a law abiding citizen instead of granting him his god given rights and giving him the benefit of the doubt.
This was Jackbooted thugs involved in an attack and murder in cold blood not police and everyone of them right up to the chief of police and governance should be tried for first degree murder.

Those officer’s names should be released, and I hope everyone in their city, county, and state, hounds them mercilessly! This was an unconstitutional gun-grab, and the governor and legislature that voted in the illegal “red flag” law should be prosecuted for pre-meditated Murder!

Law Enforcement should be on the same page as military members and not have to enact an Illegal order , If we knowingly carry out an order we know to be illegal we face UCMJ proceedings at the very least .
