Jamal Jones, his girlfriend Lisa Mahone, and their two children, 14 and 7, were going to a hospital to visit Lisa’s dying mother.
Cops stopped them who state that they pulled the family over because Mahone was not wearing her seat belt. After she showed her ID and insurance they asked for Jamal’s ID, who was the passenger.
Shortly after he stated he didn’t have it due to receiving a ticket, cops asked that he get out of the vehicle, which he refused to do.

Good. He deserved it. Just do what the officer asks
goes to show give a cop a little power then they turn into a== holes I know I was married to one,
Montgomery House – hate to break it to you, but whoever told you that, cop or not, was dead wrong. You don’t need probable cause to run an ID. As others have stated, failure to ID is a crime in every state, although the verbiage varies state to state. My question is what were the other options? If the law was you could refuse to exit the vehicle of provide ID upon being lawfully stopped, then everyone could avoid compliance and police would be powerless to enforce the law in many instances. Take Timothy McVeigh for instance. He was stopped on traffic after the OK City bombing. If he could have just refused to comply and the officer had no recourse he would have been free to potentially kill and maim more innocent civilians.
Kinda old news, they keep showing the same ones over and over, hmmmm agenda…. last I heard 88 officers killed in the line of duty this year.
This is what is scary..all the ignorant and just plain stupid people that claim to know laws, but don’t. If you are in a vehicle that is pulled over legally for a traffic violation, even if you are a passenger, you are required to identify yourself. The police can also order you out of the car. If you refuse…they aren’t going to just walk away. Look up supreme court case Maryland vs Wilson.
It shouldn’t be like that? You should t have to get out of your car over a minor speeding violation or stupid little infraction, Unless the officer thought you were under the influence.
Cops over step your boundaries and treat you as if your guilty of something.
So wrong!
Oh and I forgot one thing for all soldiers that have fought for our country and police that provide our safety at home…… THANK YOU A LOT OF US STILL APPRECIATE YOUR SERVICE
