Jamal Jones, his girlfriend Lisa Mahone, and their two children, 14 and 7, were going to a hospital to visit Lisa’s dying mother.
Cops stopped them who state that they pulled the family over because Mahone was not wearing her seat belt. After she showed her ID and insurance they asked for Jamal’s ID, who was the passenger.
Shortly after he stated he didn’t have it due to receiving a ticket, cops asked that he get out of the vehicle, which he refused to do.

What city do you live in where in order to take you to jail they just ask you nicely to come along. You have to detain/apprehend the individual everywhere I’ve seen. And when folks decide not to cooperate how do you suggest getting them to when communicaring verbally doesn’t seem to be working? Just curious. How about you go try to be an officer for a day!! Then come talk! !
Are you serious? That cop was completely out of control! Just watching that infuriates me.
He didn’t need to be detained. He did nothing wrong
Refusal to show ID falls under the right to remain silent. I can’t site the Supreme Court ruling at this time off of my head but it is there.
That breaking of the window was a violation of that man’s right that was a criminal act from the policeman now the people dont get out the car he doesn’t have much else to do but to sit there and tell him he has 5 seconds to get out the car? But breaking the window was a criminal act………why didn’t he just shoot the tires?
Better yet, ……call for a stupid visor and see what else to do?
U only need a permit or license if u are traveling for the sake of gain or work. As for as personal travel reasons u need no permit and should be able to do so without being molested
He did roll the window down a few inches and gave the cop a legal document with his id on it
Charge the cop with assault
He did give the cop a form of id through the window
the cop over reacted and should be sanction for his ill behavior
