Jamal Jones, his girlfriend Lisa Mahone, and their two children, 14 and 7, were going to a hospital to visit Lisa’s dying mother.
Cops stopped them who state that they pulled the family over because Mahone was not wearing her seat belt. After she showed her ID and insurance they asked for Jamal’s ID, who was the passenger.
Shortly after he stated he didn’t have it due to receiving a ticket, cops asked that he get out of the vehicle, which he refused to do.

First off, he wasn’t the driver, he was the passenger in the car and he didn’t have an ID, but he gave them his information. His wife was driving and she showed the police her ID and insurance information. So this is abuse of power. When have you ever been a passenger in a car, not breaking the law and an officer asked you to exit the vehicle? Things you should really think about.
Melissa that is incorrect. Please provide the law that states that. Only the driver has to show ID unless the police has reasonable suspicion of a crime being committed or a warrant!
He told them he did not have an ID on him. He was the passanger. Did you guys even see the video? If you did, you would know that his wife was drivign, and she showed her id and insurance information to the police and his kids were in the back seat. He told them he did not have an ID but he gave them his information.

Yes, I have been a passenger and have been ordered to exit the vehicle and searched before, not once, but twice, both times on the East Coast. If what you said is true, I agree wholeheartedly that it would be an abuse of power. I wasn’t there so I really don’t know exactly what transpired, however, I do know that abuse does take place, and I have been a victim of such, but not to this extent, of course. If you weren’t there, then you would not know exactly what took place, and should not be giving lectures to people you don’t know!
His mistake was that the jerk didn’t due what the officer asked. He did not have ID because he already had too many tickets to be able to keep his licence, instead of looking for the bad officer, keep hour own back yard clean & he has no reason to stop you to begin with.
