The student had become distraught once again and the 3 officers requested that the CSUMB officer use his taser on the student, which he refused.
The cops claim that the CSUMB officer simply ‘froze’, not that he was working in the best interest of the student as he claims.
Marina Police Chief Edmundo Rodriguez said the failure to act is what led the Marina police to have to intervene. Rodriguez said the student had a knife and was non-compliant.
Solomon said he believes the Marina police made the complaint out of fear of their own actions.
The student’s father told SUPA, “It defies logic and is extremely disappointing that, at a time when law enforcement is under fire for using more force than necessary, an officer is being terminated for attempting to use civilized methods to resolve a situation.”
The university’s spokeswoman said she can’t comment on the pending investigation, but said the case is “more complex” than what was detailed in the SUPA press release.
The officer, whose name has not been released, is a 20-year law enforcement veteran who has been with the University Police for the past eight years.

The fact that the other officers would claim that the 20 year old veteran officer ‘froze’ would seem discrediting. It seems more likely that the CSUMB officer benefited from an experienced hand at communicating these situations down, whereas the other officers simply acted out of the brutality that cops today seem to employ for lack of training for something better.
The CSUMB officer has now filed suit against the dept.

That was RIDICULOUS ! Apparently standing for our rights is now wrong.
it is beyond ridiculous troy. when a police chief can be fired for standing up for his people and our constitution. he was attending the constitutional sheriff’s and police officer’s association. he was fired because he supports our constitution. fortunately this group is growing in numbers. and people who are in power are becoming concerned that our local police will not enforce martial law, when this treasonous government decides its time to take on the american citizen !!

Can’t win for losing. I swear….I admire the police, but wouldn’t want their job. Defending/protecting society from others and itself just to be crucified. Pass…..
