Ted Cruz’s citizenship continues to be a topic of discussion in the 2016 race, and it seems its one issue in which the far-left and the far-right might agree.
At the heart of the issue is the definition of “natural born citizen.” While many consider that to mean that one must be born inside of the country in order to serve in the Oval Office, others claim that one is natural born if you have citizenship at birth. The latter theory is backed up somewhat by the nominations of both John McCain and George Romney, both of which were born outside of this country’s borders.
However, since neither man made it to the White House, no Supreme Court case has ever been brought forth that specifically tackled the issue. As such, both sides continue to wage a war of opinion.

Why wasn’t there this much “discussion” about brick obummer, he certainly wasn’t qualified to be “our” president
THE FOUNDING FATHERS UNDERSTOOD WHAT WAS NEEDED, AND THE SCREWHEADS CONTINUE TO TRY TO ALTER THE CONSTITUTION, WHICH IF SUCCUESSFUL WILL LEAD TO THE RUINATION OF THE COUNTRY !
Oh, you mean just like Obama?
Just seem odd that of all the people to run for the office of POTUS it, only now, becomes an issue of where someone was born. What about previous elections. There were othes who were born outside of the USA on foreign soil, but was never an isssue. Why now? If one of your parents is/was a US citizen, the child born of that person, is a US citizen. The question becomes the definition of naturalized. Does it mean that you have to be born on the soil of one of the 50 states? Where is this defined? The folks who are making an issue of this need to be very careful because they are setting a presisent for all future elecdtion in this country.
true
Chris Hart Cruz has sealed his consulate papers for some reason. Canadian citizenship renounced May 2014.
This poster never concluded anything. Just another opinion..
So? That doesn’t change how the US law applies to him. The US does not recognise Canadian citizenship, as the US does not recognize “dual citizenship.”
If so , what about Obama ? Fix the Law , Cruz is a valuable man worth of serving as President
