Ted Cruz’s citizenship continues to be a topic of discussion in the 2016 race, and it seems its one issue in which the far-left and the far-right might agree.
At the heart of the issue is the definition of “natural born citizen.” While many consider that to mean that one must be born inside of the country in order to serve in the Oval Office, others claim that one is natural born if you have citizenship at birth. The latter theory is backed up somewhat by the nominations of both John McCain and George Romney, both of which were born outside of this country’s borders.
However, since neither man made it to the White House, no Supreme Court case has ever been brought forth that specifically tackled the issue. As such, both sides continue to wage a war of opinion.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada his mother was a US citizen but his father was a Cuban migrant. This is why its brought up. He did have dual citizenship too they brought the same up with John Mccain since he was born in Panama
Ok thank you I was just sitting here thinking we all came from somewhere. Well I had a great great grandmother who was born here she was Cherokee but we have Germans Irish Scots English. Soooooooo if that matters then really not anyone living here qualified. Maybe I should run at least one of my grandmothers lived here from the start. lol

Artical II, Section.1 of the Constitution say: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
Who was the scholar Obama, or a member of Trump’s staff.. Then Obama can’t be president either. You can’t have it both ways.
