At last week’s marathon press conference, Donald Trump surprised conservatives and liberals alike with an answer about illegal immigration.
When asked how he planned to proceed with DACA — the program that provides legal status to minors who were brought into the country illegally — the president said: “To me, it’s one of the most difficult subjects I have because you have these incredible kids — in many cases, not in all cases. In some of the cases, they’re having DACA and they’re gang members and they’re drug members, too. But you have some absolutely incredible kids — I would say mostly — they were brought in here in such a way. It’s a very, very tough subject.” Ultimately, he said he would deal with their situation “with heart.”
Despite the fairly moderate answer, liberals quickly seized onto Trump’s use of the word “gang members” and ignored the fact that he said most of the kids were “absolutely incredible.”
Read about how members of the Hispanic Caucus used the quote to attack Trump and ICE on the next page:

If each of the Congressmen of the Hispanic Caucus represent 750k people, how many are here illegally, and why aren’t they representing the rest of their constituents. Were they elected to only represent Hispanics or all the people
Right?
They don’t listen to the Latinos that came here legally and don’t want all the illegals here, nor do they want them to just be granted amnesty. Legal Latino immigrants worked hard to become American citizens and feel slighted when others come here and are just given citizenship without having to put in the time to truly become an American.
Exactly. Why?
What is the rule on who is invited to attend? Those that are absolutely necessary to attend should. Those that are not required to be there and if they are will only stall things by loudly protesting this and that should not attend. Are cabinet members required to be at every meeting held?
Here in this sovereign nation in clear violation of it’s laws ? You should be nervous and scared, or someone isn’t doing their job! For CHC – which shouldn’t even exist – to say “no one should feel this way” is short-sighted and counter-productive, not to mention absolutely false. If I snuck into mexico, I’m pretty sure I’d be nervous, and fearful of apprehension and the resultant consequences the entire time I was there. Little wonder CHC was summarily dismissed from the ICE meeting: they have nothing lawful to add to it.
Now we have an Hispanic caucus???? I thought they came here to assimilate. We should then have an Irish caucus, Italian caucus, German caucus….you get the picture. If we also have a black caucus we should have a white caucus !!! It’s all crazy .
If they aren’t helping, they are in the way.
Haha go home
And you sure as hell ain’t a member of ICE either
