With the wave of leftist anti-Trump fervor finally reaching Texas, Austin found itself besieged by a small army of protestors outside the Capitol building this past weekend. Despite the best efforts of police and Trump supporters to maintain order, the demonstration quickly turned violent as protestors, several of whom were affiliated with communist groups, began to assault people who defended the Republican candidate and now President-Elect:
Protests against President-elect Donald Trump continued both nationwide and locally Sunday night.
About 150-200 people gathered at the Capitol to stage a “peaceful protest” and state that they would not be antagonizing the police. Trump supporters were among those in the crowd.
Protesters marched down Congress Avenue and turned toward City Hall, ending up on the South 1st Street bridge.
The march turned back toward the Capitol around 8:30 p.m.
“The Texas Department of Public Safety says it arrested 6 members of a local communist group, Red Guards Austin, for assaulting pro-Trump members in Sunday’s protest.
DPS troopers arrested Jarred Roark, 34, after he allegedly assaulted an individual on South Congress and 11th Street adjacent to the State Capitol.
Roark was arrested on felony aggravated assault, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
Troopers also arrested five other suspects related to the initial incident:

History lesson is needed here. Our Founding Fathers separated from our Mother Country of England so we could be a free nation. They wanted a nation that the people ruled in and not a dictatorship by one. Did not take long for parties to form and fight for control of the citizens as those of high ranks decided the ordinary citizen was to stupid to rule themselves. This battle still goes on today. Democrat party has been taken over by subversives since the early 1900’s and the Republicans shortly after by ultra conservatives. This battle must end or we will lose our country.
