Commercial jets in Irish air space carrying hundreds of passengers were forced to alter course in order to prevent a collision with two Russian bear bombers that had somehow ‘cloaked’ their presense, according to an Irish newspaper.
This isn’t the first incursion into Irish-controlled airpspace by the Russians. Last month, Russian planes buzzed the west coast of Ireland with their safety transponders turned off so they would’t be detected by civilian radar.
