Coldest Period in Earth’s History says Greenpeace Co-Founder

One may not believe in the millions and millions of years theory, but if it helps debunk global warming, then I’m on board. Greenpeace founder, Dr. Patrick Moore says that the earth is experiencing one of the coldest periods ever.

“A well-documented record of global temperature over the past 65 million years shows that we have been in a major cooling period since the Eocene Thermal Maximum 50 million years ago,” Dr. Patrick Moore said at a lecture Wednesday hosted by the U.K.-based Global Warming Policy Foundation.

Moore says that the earth, prior to this epoch long chilling period, was warming by 16c and life thrived.  He contends that “The entire planet, including the Arctic and Antarctica were ice-free and the land there was covered in forest.”

Global warming fear mongers and pseudo scientist warn that a 2c increase in the earth’s temperature will be devastating for the planet. But Moore counters this statement saying,

“The ancestors of every species on Earth today survived through what may have been the warmest time in the history of life,” Moore said. “It makes one wonder about dire predictions that even a 2C rise in temperature from pre-industrial times would cause mass extinctions and the destruction of civilization.”

In the grand scheme of things, humans don’t have an impact on the rise and fall of the earth temperature.  And CO2, this so called enemy, is exactly what the plant life needs to prolifically grow.

Moore argues that manmade carbon dioxide emissions have been good for the planet, providing plants with nutrients they need to grow. In fact, scientists have observed a “greening” of the planet over the last couple decades because of higher CO2 levels.

His viewpoints have gotten him kicked out of Greenpeace, which is probably a blessing in disguise.
