Not only is Ms. Muhammad not a politician or a journalist, she doesn’t really do anything that qualifies her to give an opinion on live television. If you were to ask a majority of Americans what fencing is, they would probably say it’s something you put in your yard. But sure, why not let an olympic fencer make political statements.
When asked early in the segment by Costello if it’s “exaggerated” that the country is “intensely divided,” Muhammad pointed to the “significant increase in hate crimes” and “the bigoted rhetoric” as reasons for the partisan atmosphere even though she revealed that she’s not experienced discrimination since the election.
A significant increase in hate crimes? Maybe by the liberals throwing bricks through Starbucks windows, scorching limos and trying to American flags on fire. Or what about the anti-Trump people who locked the special needs boy up and tortured him? Are those the hate crimes she’s referring to?
