CNN had to apologize this week, after a producer made a joke about Trump potentially dying in a crash landing aboard his private jet:
A video shows CNN national correspondent Suzanne Malveaux getting ready for a live shot and talking to a producer as Trump was arriving in Indianapolis on Thursday for his announcement about a deal with air conditioner manufacturer Carrier. The producer is discussing signals to the reporter about Trump’s arrival.
“If I do this, it means he’s landed,” the producer is heard saying. “That means his plane’s crashed — no, I’m kidding.”A video shows Malveaux reacting with a stunned face and laughing at the comment.
The producer was reportedly “disciplined” for the remark, a stunning development considering how little regard CNN has for the Donald Trump. It’s surprising they didn’t give her a raise.
