In case anybody still needed proof that CNN is completely in Obama’s corner, a new editorial published on the network’s website proves it beyond a doubt.
Jumping on the anti-gun bandwagon, the 24/7 news channel got one Elliot Fineman to pen an extended call for the suspension of gun rights. Fineman’s son was killed by a gunman in 2006 and has thus made it his mission to ban guns as a whole. While it is tragic that his son was murdered, it is no more reason to usurp the Second Amendment anymore than someone calling people names is a reason to usurp the First.
But of course, this doesn’t stop Fineman from doing just that. Although he “applauds” President Obama’s unconstitutional moves to place further restrictions on firearm usage and possession, he believes that “Republican obstructionism” will prevent him (thankfully) from carrying out his tyrannical agenda.
So with that in mind, Fineman proposes something even worse than what Obama has decided to do: declare a national emergency and officially abrogate Americans’ right to bear arms.

Out of the other five 3.5 of them are stolen, lost or obtained by a straw purchase. The problem isn’t the 2nd amendment it is the breakdown of families in the inner city where the vast majority of murders take place (over 8000 out of 9000 annually) Over 98% of the guns used in these crimes are unlawfully obtained and in possession of felons that cannot legally possess a gun. So tell me how taking guns from lawful citizens is going to reduce the murder rate. It will in fact raise it because criminals will now know everyone but them are unarmed. Let’s look at Australia a country very similar to America in its strong individualism and make up. It is a common fantasy that gun bans make society safer. Some observers argue that what causes the overwhelming preponderance of black-on-white over white-on-black violence is “chance of encounter,” due to the fact that there are five times as many whites as blacks in the American population. However, there are only about 30 percent more Hispanics than blacks, yet black-on-Hispanic violence is almost as lopsided as black-on-white violence. This suggests blacks may be deliberately targeting both whites and Hispanics.
Using figures for the 2013 racial mix of the population–62.2 percent white, 17.1 percent Hispanic, 13.2 percent black–we can calculate the average likelihood of a person of each race attacking the other. A black is 27 times more likely to attack a white and 8 times more likely to attack a Hispanic than the other way around. A Hispanic is eight times more likely to attack a white than vice versa.
We can also calculate how often criminals of each group choose victims of other races. As indicated below, when whites commit violence they choose fellow whites as victims 82.4 percent of the time, and almost never attack blacks. In a 53-46 vote, the Senate narrowly passed a measure that will stop the Veterans United Network
States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.
The Statement of Purpose from the Senate Bill reads: “To uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.” The U.N. Small Arms Treaty, which has been championed by the Obama Administration, would have effectively placed a global ban on the import and export of small firearms. The ban would have affected all private gun owners in the U.S. and had language that would have implemented an international gun registry, now get this, on all private guns and ammo.
Astonishingly, 46 out of our 100 United States Senators were willing to give away our Constitutional rights to a foreign power.

“Gun Control Legislation Falls Short of Defining Real Issues”
Failure to properly identify the real issue has been an ongoing failure of our representatives. They keep stressing that “Gun Control” is the only way to stop the senseless progression of violence with the use of guns is to restrict who has them. In reality, the problem is not the gun, but the individuals who posses the gun and the unlawful acts which bring about death and carnage. Let us step back and consider addressing the real issues through “Illegal Acts Legislation”. As an example of an illegal act, it’s unlawful to threaten the life of the President of the United States. ” Threatening the President of the United States is a class E felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making “any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States”. The United States Secret Service investigates suspected violations of this law and monitors those who have a history of threatening the President. Threatening the President is considered a political offense. Aliens who commit this crime can be deported”. When it comes to protecting the life and rights of American Citizens from similar threats, the laws are very weak at best. There are groups, as well as individuals who have openly threatened violence, and in some instance death to those who are in disagreement with simply their views, religion, or way of life. “Illegal Acts Legislation” is no easy task to define. But to continue to just keep blaming the gun and ownership is not the resolution to the issues.
