Sometimes, a joke can get you fired. In today’s politically correct world, laughing at a joke can get you fired, too. Particularly if the subject of that joke is a liberal icon.
Earlier this week, a mayoral aide in Clay, WV, called First Lady Michelle Obama an “ape in heels” on Facebook. The racial undertones of the joke are hard to deny. Whether or not the aide meant the joke to be a comment on race, that’s how it was received.
But don’t feel too badly for Mrs. Obama. She’s not immune to her own racist rants. She doesn’t even bother hiding them, often calling out “white people” by name.
Regardless, the aide’s joke has now cost the town’s mayor her job, even though she’s not the one who made the joke. See the full Facebook status — the mayor’s response — on the next page:

I voted for Obama in 2008 after a couple of years I learned to regret it I could listen to President Obama speak forever is an incredible orator aside from that I hate the man’s politics but I always liked him and his family and personal insults against them are crude and uncalled for
She’s such a nagger. All she does is complain and start issue’s over race and religion. Just leave our people alone and quit filling people’s heads with racist banter.
