When it comes to cultural differences between China and the United States, there's obviously a lot of gaps between our cultures that extends to everything from food, to clothing, to government and apparently boats. According to some satellite imagery released earlier this year, China has started construction on a new aircraft carrier…we think. In the image on the next page, you'll see a very large life raft with a tower in the center.
This is allegedly their second attempt, in addition to refurbishing a Soviet-era flattop they finished trials on last year. When this one is complete, it'll be the first Chinese carrier made entirely in the country. Whether or not it'll float, hold planes and helicopters or really do any of the things a boat is supposed to do has yet to be determined.
What can be determined is that the rest of the world really doesn't have anything to fear, especially since China doesn't have any of the experience or skill in building things like this.

Looks like a skateboard ramp !
I was looking for the square sails…
only a fool underestimates his enemy. Ever think what is flyiing off it? Special drones? Until facts are known I wouldn’t second guess anything.
Being launched at a 8% grade upward would be a advantage
Did Fung Way had something to do with its design..one way out and one way back…..
It has no guns… it’s an aircraft carrier….
“Made in China” I wonder how long it will remain afloat.
Actually the ramp forces the jet to angle upward hence relying more on the power of the jests then the aerodynamic lift to get airborn. I believe Britain played with this concept for a while.
Smoke and mirrors.
It’s a floating Chinese takeout joint!
