The consequences are now that the police can’t do their jobs. Yes, there are bad cops out there, but a majority of the shootings have happened because people have threatened violence against police. If you don’t want to get shot, don’t point a gun at a police officer. Now there’s complete disregard for the law and those who enforce it because criminals feel a sense of empowerment.
“She thought she was going to die. She knew that she should shoot this guy, but she chose not to, because she didn’t want her family or the department to have to go through the scrutiny the next day on national news,” Supt. Johnson said.
A nearby business captured surveillance video of the incident. The owner didn’t see the incident firsthand, but saw how the incident unfolded on the surveillance video.
“It is terrible. It is total disregard for law enforcement. They put their lives forward every day for us and to see somebody do this, to pummel the police officer is terrible. It is a terrible thing,” business owner Louie Rainone said.
So what exactly is the point of anti-police activism? Is anarchy? Media attention? It’s easy for liberals to sit behind their computer screens with snarky comments and strong opinions, but when their lives are in danger, who do they call? The police. When members of Black Lives Matter have their things stolen, who do they call? The police. This is a problem.
