This week, Bruce Springsteen claimed that he was standing amount “embarrassed Americans”.
This coming from the man who sings “Born in the USA,” but the signs were there all along. Springsteen’s hit may sound like a patriotic jam, but its intention is often misheard or misunderstood. With lyrics like “So they put a rifle in my hand / Sent me off to a foreign land / To go and kill the yellow man,” the song was a political statement from the very beginning.
The anti-war/anti-America message may have been subtle then, but now Springsteen is making his displeasure with the United States known across the world. His most overt criticism of his home country came this week during a concert in Melbourne, Australia.

You! You are the embarrassment Bruce Springsteen
BAN HIS NEW YORK SHOW
Being an artist is a tough grind, and the few that make it enjoy the riches their fans bestow upon them. BUT – we do not purchase their liberal ideas, we purchase talents. It’s a shame when they do make on the good graces of those that help them, they become elitists, and we become their serfs. Dishonor the country where you made a bloody fortune, then time for you to move.
FROM A FUCKING DRAFT DODGER.YOUR A DISGRACE.
You are pathetic Bruce! You are the actual embarrassment to the US.
NO you stand before the an embarrassed American.
Don’t these idiots realize they are not making themselves look very good by their nasty attitude toward our President?
