This week, Bruce Springsteen claimed that he was standing amount “embarrassed Americans”.
This coming from the man who sings “Born in the USA,” but the signs were there all along. Springsteen’s hit may sound like a patriotic jam, but its intention is often misheard or misunderstood. With lyrics like “So they put a rifle in my hand / Sent me off to a foreign land / To go and kill the yellow man,” the song was a political statement from the very beginning.
The anti-war/anti-America message may have been subtle then, but now Springsteen is making his displeasure with the United States known across the world. His most overt criticism of his home country came this week during a concert in Melbourne, Australia.

Well I was embarrassed beyond belief for eight years, I was embarrassed during the election that a person who committed federal crimes and let Americans die without thought to try and rescue them was the nominee of the democratic party even after finding out theyd rigged it against the other democrat candidates…Since election day I am one of many proud Americans!!! and with all this nonsense of the snowflakes and the whiners and sore losers Im prouder every day I voted for Trump…with more jobs and less illegals crossing our borders, 40% less, I am so proud I voted for Trump…as I see campaign promises being kept I am so proud I voted for Trump…as I see the war on ISIS step up I am so proud I voted for Trump…and as I finally see the military again get what they need I am proud I voted for Trump….
