I lived in Chicago during the riots of 1968 when MLK was killed. The Mayor at the time was Richard J. Daley. After two days of looting and burning buildings he said enough. He gave orders to “shoot to kill” all looters. The very next day the looting stopped. Then they all cried that they had no grocery stores, etc. to shop in and Daley told them “you shouldn’t have burned them down” The lots were cleared and left empty for years. Daley was a Democrat, today he would be classified as a Republican. I’m voting Trump.
