Bill Clinton Mocks Kentucky’s “Coal People” for Supporting Trump Over Hillary

Clinton’s response to blue collar Kentuckians’ and other southerners abandonment of the Democratic party demonstrates, appropriately enough, why they were right to do so. The party never actually cared for Southerners and working Americans: it simply viewed them as a tool to get what it wanted and something to be discarded once they no longer voted for them:

“Clinton added that ‘they all voted for me. I won twice, and they did well.’

‘They blame the president when the sun doesn’t come up in the morning now.’

In 1996, Clinton won 51.5 percent of the state’s popular vote, yet Barack Obama only carried 35.5 percent in the last election.”
