The study of biblical prophecy can become a life-long project and joy. It can also be the source of much confusion and even controversy. As anyone knows who has spent much time studying the doctrine of eschatology, or last things, there is considerable debate over the proper way to interpret these Scriptures. This debate exists even among evangelical Christians who hold to the inerrancy of the Bible. Such is the difficulty of the task.
While a study of the end times is not the purpose of this article, it is helpful to understand the context of where our discussion will go. A proper study of eschatology requires the harmonizing of relevant passages from both the Old and New Testaments. Just reading Revelation doesn’t cut it. Scriptures that inform this study are scattered throughout the Bible, although some books address the topic more thoroughly.
Another decision the interpreter encounters is determining when passages are meant to be taken literally and when they are symbolic. Or maybe even both. Figures of speech are used, just as we use them in our normal conversations. How should those be interpreted? More to the point of this article, how should we take the numbers that are used in prophetic passages? Again, even those evangelicals who uphold the doctrine of inerrancy can still differ, hopefully in a friendly way, on the proper methods of interpretation.
So what are some prophecy scholars saying now in the light of some remarkable happenings in our world? More on page two.
Trump is trying to clean up Obama’s fucking foreign disaster mess
Why,you’ll just be up there with the same liberals and assholes that are down here, but if ya wanna meet your maker, suicide is a good option
The Rapture will occur before the tribulation! The ones that accept Christ during the tribulation will face being a martyr.
Oh whatever!!!
Been war after war for so many years and yet now they want to claim Trump is the harbinger of the end. Wow!
From the Abomination of Desolation (Antichrist stands in the Holy Place declaring himself to be God) there will be 1290 days. Blessed is he that lasts to day 1335.
Daniel 9 is segmented for a reason. The final seven years set up the battle of Armageddon. If the final 7 in Daniel 9 has already happened then Jesus set up the Abomination that causes Desolation and Daniel 12 has also happened. From the Abomination of Desolation there will be 1290 days. Blessed is he that lasts till day 1335. You are wrong my friend. John wrote in Revelation about what WAS and IS and THE THINGS TO COME. Besides Daniel was specifically praying for GOD’s Holy Hill, Mount Moriah. The prophecy is about the land of Israel. Even Jesus said that when you see the Abomination of Desolation standing in the Holy Place the Jews in Judea will have to flee for their lives back to Jerusalem. That hasn’t happened yet. Yes, Jesus restored relationship with God through his atonement and sacrifice on the cross. But look again at Daniel 9. What else has to be fulfilled for Israel? What are the seventy sevens decreed for. Sin still happens my friend. Everlasting righteousness doesn’t happen until Jesus second coming. To seal up vision and prophecy. Prophecy still has yet to be fulfilled because Jesus still has yet to come for the whole world to see. To anoint the most Holy. This happens on his second coming when he brings his millennial Kingdom with him and he is Crowned King of Kings and Lord of Lords and rules the earth with an iron scepter. Mystery Babylon, the great Harlot, the fallen church, comes from the city on seven hills, Rome, from the last empire, the iron mixed with clay, the Holy Roman Empire. It produces the False Prophet that backs the Antichrist from the ten toes, the ten horns, the Kings without Kingdoms, the UN or UN type global government.
Pshhhhh
Thank you
This is a joke
