In one of the most ominous observations ever by a presidential candidate, Dr. Ben Carson has indicated that he believes there may not actually be an election held in 2016 at all.
He suggests that President Barack Obama may conjure up multiple reasons why it is not “prudent” to hand over the reins of government to someone besides himself in a time of crisis. And there are a number of troubling indications that Carson may be right. Obama has shown himself to be a believer in not letting a good crisis go to waste, even one that is self created.
We should consider such events as the Ebola virus scare and associated mandatory quarantine as one way to ensure the public is prevented from congregating in the open. The almost $19 trillion in government debt and the possibility that the Chinese yuan could become the world currency of choice could bring the American economy crashing down, leading to massive riots as welfare, EBT, Medicaid and Medicare card failures make them became worthless.
And certainly the potential or even likelihood of Islamic terrorism on our own shores could lead to a widespread crisis, all suggesting that Obama could declare a change of leadership to be “inconvenient” and perhaps even impossible for an indeterminate period.

Obama can’t impose martial law. Even if he did it would not postpone the election. Martial law is only used in extreme cases of invasion and civil unrest. All it does is give the military power to arrest civilians. They can’t even put them on trial if the state has a federal court. Martial law has only been imposed twice in our history and only once on the national level. Linhcon imposed it during the civil war so the army could address Confederate solders and people that aided them. The second time was Dec 7 1941 when pearl harbour was attacked. Hawaii was not a state then not until 1959. The governor of Hawaii imposed martial law so the military had the power to arrest. There were a lot of Japanese living on the island. In 1942 martial law was imposed in three states along the west coast . Obama would still need Congress to go along with it and they can over turn it. I wish he would try so we can impeach and in prison his ass
Martial law does not give him the right to take guns or disarm. The second amend!sent would still be in place. It only suspends some civil rights. Without martial law the military has no authority to arrest suspected terrorists or people that aid them. Law enforcement and FBI does this. People wanted to know why it took so long for military aid during Katrina. The state governor has to request it. The president can’t send them in.

What makes him think the police and military would go along with him. After all there the victims of his dirty play. How many solders died for nothing because of him. How many cops are dying because of his raising of hate. This isn’t a banana republic. Our military and our cops can think. They know this guy is dirty. Plus he needs to think about being put on trial after his time in office. He is already guilty with enough crimes. Including murder.
