In this modern society, where social issues reign supreme, ignorance has taken on a new voice. The debate over race and white supremacy has reached the point where the only people allowed to have an opinion on the matter are those who aren’t whites.
Lawrence Brown, an assistant professor in the Public Health Department at Morgan State University in Baltimore, is an activist who believes that African-Americans should receive reparations. He believes that America is segregated and that black people suffer from historical trauma brought on by white supremacy. In other words, he believes that modern white people are responsible for slavery.
It’s difficult to get into that argument and its falsehoods without writing several pages, but the argument can be summarized by these two questions:
What right do modern African-Americans have to claim offense at something they weren’t alive to be offended by?
Why should modern white people feel guilty for an act that they weren’t alive to commit?
You can’t atone for sins that you didn’t have anything to do with.

You’re exactly right you know I was looking through scholarships for my college and there are more scholarships for people of color than there are for white people and everybody that is low income is guaranteed government assistance for their college as well so how is it that they’re being oppressed oppressed is not about race it’s not about religion it’s about the person if they choose to live that way that’s their choice not mine I didn’t make that choice for them if they choose to not get an education and make something of themselves it’s nobody else’s fault but their own I have to pay for some of my college while other people get a free ride and then choose not to take it
What is unearned wealth? I worked, raised a son as a single mother, never had anything to save, did without a lot. Now Social Security is my income. You deposit your unearned wealth for a change!

ppl that actually do work but fall on hard time cant get any assistance for that hard times that they fall on because the government is already paying out so much for all these freeloaders I really think that they need to re-examine the DHS system on who gets help and who doesn’t mean there’s so many elderly people that live on a fixed income that gets like $25 a month in food stamps but a single woman with six kids and no job gets $900 a month in food stamps that is capable of working that’s freaking bull and not to mention because they have no income they get free housing assistance and they get free healthcare my grandmother who has worked all of her life gets $25 in food stamps $800 a month and Social Security and has to live with my uncle because she can’t afford to live on her own because there’s no housing assistance for her because she’s only one person it’s just completely ridiculous
