Audio Reveals How Groups Organize to Create Hostility at Conservative Political Rallies and Town Hall Meetings

Since there are mercenaries who are willing to fight for whatever cause is willing to pay them enough money, it stands to reason that there would be protestors who are willing to mix in with public gatherings for a fee and support whatever cause their employer desire. This doesn’t mean that they are not already sympathetic to the position which they’ve been hired to support, it’s just that it’s the money that is the prime motivator, not the cause itself.

With Congress at recess, town hall style meetings have been held by Congressmen and Senators to engage with their constituents. Vigorous discussions are often part of these meetings. Even when there is no money involved, opposition often organizes in advance of these meetings to plan a strategy of disruption.  A town hall meeting held by Senator Cassidy of Louisiana would be one example.

There will be organized protesters at Friday’s Bill Cassidy Town Hall. The recordings have been authenticated by KPEL News. James Proctor, who can be heard speaking in the recording, says he does live in the Acadiana area. Proctor says some of his comments were taken out of context as the published recording is only a portion of the hour and a half long meeting. He works with the group Indivisible Guide. The groups name can be heard on the recording of the meeting. Proctor called into the KPEL newsroom and was interviewed by Bernadette Lee.
Proctor brought up some concerns about the Affordable Care Act as his reason to be involved in the protest against Senator Bill Cassidy. He claims his words likening Breaux Bridge police officers to “Barnie Fife” were misinterpreted.

Apparently Mr. Proctor was discovered making some remarks at his own meeting in advance of the town hall meeting that he would have preferred remain private. How one interprets referring to police officers as “Barnie Fife,” as anything other than an insult is hard to imagine. It would seem more likely that Mr. Proctor was just practicing damage control.

The upshot of this is that the level of protest we see at political rallies and meetings should not be interpreted as representative of the size of the population that is in opposition to the politician. It’s very likely that at least some of the protestors were paid to be there, or were even brought in by bus from areas outside the office holder’s district or state solely to create commotion.

So the next time you see a group aggressively demonstrating or violently protesting against President Trump or one of his supporters, keep in mind that what you are seeing might not be so spontaneous as it might appear. It might well have been part of a drama that was well rehearsed and even financed some time prior to the event.
