Could the Appearance of an Island in the Sea of Galilee Be a Sign of “Things to Come?”

So we have the Sea of Galilee dropping so low that an island appears in the middle of it.  That cannot be a big deal, can it?

From a secular viewpoint, it’s not a good situation at all.  It’s hard to think of anything more essential to life than water.  And when there’s a severe shortage, and from a source from which competing nations draw their water,  you have the ingredients for a bloody conflict.  So when the Sea of Galilee which feeds water to both Israel and Jordan drops so low that islands start appearing, you know things are bad.

So the sharing of that water has a secular component that could lead to war.  But this is Israel, the land of the Bible, and that Bible makes many references to signs of “the end of the age and the coming of the Son of Man.”  And you can fill up shelves with books discussing the prophetic implications of events currently happening not only in Middle East, but in other parts of the world.  Not only that, the Jewish Talmud speaks directly to the appearance of the Jewish Messiah and the end of the world.

The Middle-East never fails to be in the news.  For secularists, this is just one more problem to be addressed  by some supra-national body like the United Nations.  For those who follow prophecy, this is a whole lot more.
