Antifa Thug Formally Charged For Attacking Police Horse with Flagpole

Lisa Joy Simon of Philadelphia got a lot more trouble than she bargained for when she swung her armed flagpole at Sampson, the police horse.

Trooper Wes Vanwyk, a 16-year veteran of the Pennsylvania State Police mounted unit, noticed a person in a black hoodie, with a black mask and black goggles, advancing toward his horse while other Antifa members were complying with moving back to the sidewalk where they originally had been permitted to protest.

The mounted police moved in when 30 to 40 of the Antifa mob rushed out of their designated area into the street.

Simon is accused of wielding a flagpole with a nail driven through it and sticking out about an inch. She swung it at Sampson, and Trooper Vanwyk did his best to swing the horse around to avoid being struck.

At that time, police said, Simon struck the police horse, Sampson, in the neck and obstructed other officers from being able to move the crowd onto the sidewalk along that block. After the incident, police said that the officer and Sampson were able to continue to work after suffering only a minimal injury.”

After Harrisburg police subdued Simon, she was arrested for aggravated assault and resisting arrest. Since then, she’s been formally charged with aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police animal, prohibited offensive weapons, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstructing administrative law.

The court ordered her to be held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Antifa is claiming she is a “political prisoner” and asserts the charges were “fabricated.”

A comrade was arrested while trying to demonstrate against an anti-Muslim rally in Harrisburg, PA. The charges are entirely fabricated and do not reflect what actually happened during the incident,” the group wrote on Facebook.

The bail is set at an extraordinary $100,000. It is clear that this person is being held as a political prisoner, and we must make it known that we will not be intimidated by a militarized police, that we will remain resolute in standing by the values of our movement, and that we will continue to combat fascism wherever it attempts to spread.”

Certainly, comrade is the operative word here.

Last Thursday, Magisterial District Judge Sonya M. McKnight held a hearing to determine if Simon actually struck the horse with the nail-end of the flagpole or if she acteddefensively against the horse.

McKnight ruled there was enough evidence to hold Simon for trial. Formal arraignment is set for September 1 on charges of aggravated assault to police, trauma to police animals, prohibited offensive weapons, obstruction to law enforcement function, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

What kind of sick individual would deliberately try to harm an innocent animal? The same kind of sick individual who would become part of Antifa and become hell-bent on destroying our society.
