Another Brick in the Wall of Impeachment of President Trump

It didn’t take long for the Articles of Impeachment to begin raining down from the skies over the Capitol, but try as we might, we could not halt the attempt at Leftist usurpation of the Oval Office through facts, statistics, concluded investigations and lack of evidence.  It has now come down to, “We don’t give a f**k about your lack of evidence!  We’re going to kick Trump the hell out of office, whether or not he’s done anything wrong!  Screw the will of the American people!  Screw the free-and-fair elections!”

Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) unveiled a proposed article of impeachment Monday against President Trump for allegedly obstructing justice in a federal investigation.

The legislative text argues that Trump’s alleged attempts to pressure since-fired FBI Director James Comey to drop the agency’s investigation into former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn amounts to obstruction of justice.

“In all of this, Donald John Trump has acted in a manner contrary to his trust as President and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States,” the proposed article of impeachment states

Sherman wrote in a letter to fellow lawmakers on Monday that he may try to force a floor vote on his article of impeachment if the House Judiciary Committee does not take it up.

“I would hope that the Article, once submitted, would receive expeditious consideration by the Judiciary Committee. However, if it becomes clear that such consideration is not forthcoming, I (after consultation with colleagues and leadership) will make a privileged motion that the entire House of Representatives immediately debate the Article,” he wrote.

As previously stated, facts don’t matter.  The evidence that Comey himself admitted to in the Congressional hearing that he was not coerced into dropping the investigation against Michael Flynn, only that Trump made the comment, “I hope we can put this whole Flynn investigation to bed,” doesn’t matter a whole hell of a lot to the Leftists in the House.  Waters has been calling for the impeachment of Donald Trump long before he was even president (or at least that’s how I view it) and Pelosi, despite saying that impeachment was a “ridiculous” thing to be pushing in the House, has said from the day he was elected that he was treading on thin ice.  So this news is not surprising.

Democrats frequently will offer what are known as “privileged” motions to automatically force a House floor vote. But Republicans, while in the majority, have typically dismissed them, therefore leading to procedural votes to reject the motions.

“At that point, I expect there will be a Motion to Table, thus triggering our first impeachment-related vote,” Sherman wrote.

Since February, Democrats have been using the same procedure to force near-weekly votes on resolutions demanding Trump’s tax returns.

If Sherman forces a vote on his article of impeachment, it would mark a major escalation in Democrats’ floor messaging against Trump.

Sherman indicated that he may file more articles of impeachment if there is “additional evidence” to support charges against Trump. But for now, he argued that the allegations that Trump tried to pressure Comey to drop the Flynn probe were enough to go forward with impeachment.

In essence, what we’re looking at here is an attempt to delegitimize his presidency by an on-going campaign to introduce one piece of anti-Trump legislation after another so that it gives the appearance that no matter what President Trump is doing on any given day, he is breaking Constitutional law or thwarting the rule of law in Congress.  Think about this for a moment.  If you can imagine the fury and the rage in the Democrat Party toward George W. Bush when he was in office and magnify that by a trillion times…that’s what Trump is up against.

Jackass Party members, right at this very moment, are furiously writing down anti-Trump legislation and having their many staff secretaries and assistants typing them up in proper format, all the while ignoring nearly 100% of their constituency’s issues, be it housing, unemployment, taxes, identity politics, education…you name it!  They are completely ignorant to what is going on in their neighborhoods and districts that they represent because they are so laser-focused on the destruction of Trump as to neglect their constituents.  It’s like the parent who is playing World of Warcraft while their toddler is perched on the balcony railing!  They are detached from the reality of the people’s lives they hold in their legislative hands.

At least the Republicans have a little easier time of it.  While they still loathe Trump, they are at least able to sit back and relax and watch the constant barrage of the Democrats as they lob grenade after grenade at the administration.  With an occasional flick of their pen-hand, they can read a bill proposal here and there while sipping on their Pina Coladas.  The overall impression is that this war being fought between Trump and the Swamp will be an all-out battle where the only casualties will be the American people.

Trump may be impeached and forced to step down, but he’ll just go back to his empire.  We, on the other hand, will have lost yet another valuable ally in the fight against the Establishmentariat and its unending use of government power (and our own tax money) against us in ways we can’t yet imagine.
