After the internet indicted Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski for his alleged assault on Michelle Fields, it seemed as if the promised battery charge was all but a formality. Public opinion had already solidified against Lewandowski, as mainstream media channels plastered Field’s accusations as fact across print headlines and breaking news segments on primetime cable.
Now, however, it looks as if the mainstream media’s celebratory mood regarding the assault was a bit premature.
News out of Florida today claims that Lewandowski won’t be charged at all. This no doubt comes as a shock to Trump’s detractors, but it should come as no surprise to anyone who watched the video with an unbiased eye.
While contact seems clear, the aggressiveness of said contact was clearly overblown by a sensationalist media out to vilify Trump.
