The Confederacy has long been a controversial topic in the United States. While the state has long been associated with racism and slavery, many modern southerners view the Confederacy as an important part of southern heritage.
Until recently, relics of the Confederate States of America have been allowed throughout the south for historical purposes, but in today’s politically correct climate, many of those monuments have been forcibly removed.
Last year, statues of Robert E. Lee, the commander of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia, were removed from locals parks in Virgina. The contractor who removed the statues found his Lamborghini torched in response.
Now, more statues of the former general are coming down across the state — at huge cost.
Read about the latest Robert E. Lee statue to fall on the next page:
Fine, donate tge Statue to the National Museum in Washington, since it IS a part Of America’s HISTORY, like it or not, by any Particular Ethnjc Group. BTW! Can each Ethnuc group go down a list of statues, school names, monuments, etc…and demand changes and removals, based on any preceived racial issuses, slights, religious intolerances, biased comments, illegal activities, so forth…..or will this just remain a BLM/ Muslim right?
Definitely ignorant
It’s easier to rewrite history and brainwash kids if there are fewer tangible remnants to oppose them.
Leave it alone, part of history!

Blacks and Texas Politics
Did you know?
Since Republicans became the statewide majority in 1994, eight minority Texans have held statewide office; yet in the 122 years that the Democrats controlled the State (1872-1994), only four minority Texans held statewide office.
The Texas Republican Party was formed on July 4, 1867, in Houston by 150 black and 20 white Texans.
Two of the first three statewide leaders of the Republican Party of Texas were black.
The first 42 blacks elected to the Texas Legislature were Republicans.
When the Republicans became the majority in the Texas Legislature in 1869, they established a system of free public schools to educate all the children of the State — something Democrats had refused to do.
The first faith-based program was proposed in the 1870’s by black Republican Senator Matthew Gaines.
When Democrats recaptured Texas government in 1872, Democrat Governor Richard Coke’s election was described as “the restoration of white supremacy.”
President George W. Bush was the first president to appoint a black as Secretary of State (Colin Powell). He also appointede blacks as National Security Advisor (Condoleeza Rice), Sevcretary of Education (Rod Paige), and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (Alphonso Jackson). In his second term, he appointed the second black Secretary of State (Condoleeza Rice).
With new programs established by President Bush, blacks’ home ownership is at an all-time high.
Of the 5 blacks whom have ever been U.S. Senators, 3 were Republicans.
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery passed by Congress with the support of 100% of Republican members but with only 23% of the Democrat members.
When the 14th and 15th Amendments extending civil rights and voting rights to blcks passed, not even one Democrat in Congress voted for these amendments.
Equal opportunity is a right and privilege. Texans should be able to start a business, run for office, or chase a dream, without the threat that government will punish success. Black Republicans are sucessful leaders in their communities and in Texas politics. The Republican Party of Texas is the political party that can best help all citizens achieve their hopes and dreams.

Happy Juneteenth!
A message from the Texas Federation for Republican Outreach
Today is June 19th, also known here in Texas as Juneteenth. On this day, we’re reminded of a very important event in the history of Texas and the United States.
In 1854, the National Republican Party was formed to abolish slavery. And though in 1860 the nation elected Abraham Lincoln as its first Republican President, a lot more work would need to be done before former slaves would enjoy full citizenship.
So on January 1, 1863, President Lincoln signed an historic document–The Emancipation Proclamation. However, the news of freedom didn’t reach Texas until Army Maj. General Gordon Granger landed in Galveston in 1865 where on June 19,1865, 149 years ago today, he read General Order Number 3 which included these 4 words: “All Slaves are Free.”
General Granger’s words were based on the principle embedded in our Declaration of Independence, “That All Men Are Created Equal.” Still, more work would have to be done before former slaves could achieve the American Dream.
So, Republican Members of Congress authored and passed the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the United States Constitution, formerly abolishing slavery, granting full citizenship, and establishing the right to vote for former slaves.
Then on July 4, 1867, 125 African American men and 20 Anglos met in Houston at the first Republican State Convention. And a Galvestonian named Norris Wright Cuney, an African American, rose up to be elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.
Happy Juneteenth!

History Denied , Covered up & Marginalized
In the 17th Century , from 1600 until 1699 , there were many more Irish sold as slaves
than Africans. There are records of Irish slaves well into the 18th Century . Many never
made it off the ships. According to written record , in at least one incident 132 slaves , men, women
and children , were dumped overboard to drown because ships’ supplies were running low .
They were drowned because the Insurance would pay for an ” accident ” , but not if the slaves
were allowed to starve.
The first slaves imported into the American colonies were 100 white children in 1619 , four months before the arrival of a
first shipment of Black slaves. Many were brought from Ireland , where the law held that it was ” no more sin to kill an
Irishman than a dog or any other brute “. King James ll , followed by Charles l and Oliver Cromwell , sold over 500,000 Irish Catholics into slavery throughout the 1600’s onto plantations in the West Indies Islands of Antigua , Montserrat ,
Jamaica , Barbados , as well as Virginia and New England. Irish slaves were less expensive than African , and treated with more cruelty & death.

Black privilege /White guilt/Slavery
Hey ” BLM ” you want your ” 40 acres & mule ” go get it from your Democrat Socialist Party out of their pockets only !! Because 140 years +- Dem. Sent. Stephen Douglas & co-horts of Southern & northern democrats(KKK) took that law away from you after Pres. Lincoln was shot !!!!! Here is my feelings on this all !! Below: Black privilege /White guilt/Slavery
Simpley put ……” Do not act like sublife around policemen/women & do as your as asked to do in a criminal act & you’ll live throught it ” !!……………….Get a proper education & act like a Human being with some intelligence & you will have a great job or find a niech in society & fill it & you’ll become a self-employed wealthy person !!!!……………..However , if all your going to do is this do not expect much at all from life or society !!!—————————————————>>Baltimore,Md. Black Privilege..
This is all such a crock of Tax payers loss……Gene
Black Privilege……. Yea that’s right…I said it…When you work in Baltimore Black Privilege affect’s the way you can support yourself and your family…If you have an electrical job to do in the city…You must wait until 10 or 11 am to find a parking spot…Because the Black Privileged do not get out of bed until then…No one leaves there Section 8 house till then..That is the houses we pay for…Then most of them leave in there new Volvo or Caddy…Yes there is more than one at every house…They get Leap energy assistance for there heating bill too…If you work in there house you will find a giant flat screen in every room…I know one family that gets $1.200.00 a month food stamps…No one has a taxable job…They have a beauty salon in the basement..The one kid has a tattoo parlor up stairs..The dad and another son have a construction biz out of the garage…The nicest furnishings, cars and clothes i have ever seen…That is Black Privilege… And did i mention that no one gets out of bed until 10 am..
Because there is no ” White Guilt ” period !!——————————————->>Slavery & white guilt in 2016
Nobody today is alive in the time of slavery . We were not the only one’s who bought slaves & surely not the first either. I do not condone ever owning another human being , but Islamic countries do today , FACT!! . I n the past the other countries were ..England/Spain/Portugal / Netherlands-Dutch/France/Saudi Arabia & other African black nations sold them to the these countries. Samuel ” Black Sam ” Bellamy used his Whydah Galley to transport slaves , he was a Black Pirate . We as a caucasian race are not responsible for all the wrongs done & there were white slaves too in past history by other countries capturing through war & selling them into slavery(ROME ring a bell) from Europe to Asia to Polynesia & back. So I myself have no guilt for any of this at all , I was not born yet & not my responsibility ..Have a safe year .
There is NO ” White Privilege ” either !!!!—————————————————->>>There is ” NO WHITE Privilege ” in this here just a lot of ” HARD WORK ” !!!—————->>I do have been self-employed in the Timber Industry for 35 years & Agriculture all my life. Can not be stupid to feed stupid people & produce timber for your houses & 5,000 other products you use in daily life , that I’m sure your not even familiar with or realize this. I also assure you that my Family line has been here before George Washington’s time & fought in every war since that one & it has plenty of branches on it. Cherokee/Sicilian /English/Irish/Scott/German , I could go collect rep money from U.S. /Libya/Rome/Spain/Ethiopia /Egypt & Greece for enslaving all of my bloodline relatives !!!!! Every last one of these countries had slaves (white or off color) at one time or another thru war ! Of course U.S. Jackson$#%&!@*also almost killed us off & we fought for him to get rid of the British !! Jackson was the beginning of criminal land activities & genocide in favor of gold/timber/farmlands !!!!!!!
