Over 50 Electors Demand Report from Intelligence Chief on Allegations of Russian Interference in the Election

Under the rules enumerated in the Constitution, Donald Trump won the presidential election.  If there were any chance that Hillary or the DNC could have changed that result, we can rest assured that they had plenty of money and lawyers to launch a tsunami of litigation.  They didn’t.

Other than the futile efforts of Green Party candidate Jill Stein, there have been no serious challenges to the results, and one can hardly call Dr. Stein’s serious.  More like frivolous.

Devastated by the defeat of their candidate, some of Hillary’s electors have decided to keep the turmoil going until time mercifully ends the thing with the Electoral College vote on December 19th.

More than 50 Democratic voters in the Electoral College are now asking for an intelligence briefing from Director of National Intelligence James Clapper over reports of Russian meddling in the election, according to a report in Politico.

Fifty-four of 232 Democratic electors have now signed a letter asking for a briefing before the Electoral College votes Dec. 19.

The evidence of “meddling” by Russia is far from conclusive.  It remains basically a theory without any proof.  But these Democratic electors are undeterred by facts.

Note those who did not sign the letter.

While electors from Colorado, Massachusetts and New York have signed it, Politico notes it does not include former President Bill Clinton or Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.). Both are electors for the state of New York. Christine Pelosi, daughter of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was among the original 10 electors to introduce the letter.

As long as these disgruntled Hillary supporters are going to force us to consider theories, perhaps we should put forth one of our own.  Maybe much of the impetus behind this letter is nothing more than Nancy Pelosi’s daughter trying to make a name for herself.

Hey, it’s more believable than space aliens.
