To further support his thesis that his countrymen are impossibly violent monsters, Moore regurgitated statistics regarding mass shootings in the US, arguing that the “high” level of such incidents in the country definitively proves that Americans as a whole are predisposed to murder and mayhem. However, a cursory search on Moore’s part would have revealed the statistics he cited as proof of the record violence in America had no basis in reality whatsoever.

Breitbart News previously reported on a column by Mother Jones editor Mark Follman in which Follman explained that the left has inflated the number of mass shootings by immense proportions. So while Moore says ‘330+ mass shoootings’ and actress Rose McGowan claims ‘355,’ Follman puts the number at 4.

Apparently, Moore fact checks his Twitter rants about as much as he does his movies: that is, not at all.
