We know the leftist caricature of gun-rights advocates as stupid, poor, right-wing rednecks just isn’t true.
With socialists like Bernie Sanders insisting we shouldn’t be free to protect ourselves and supporting laws meant to prohibit citizens being armed in public, our right to defend ourselves and those we love is under attack. Here is a great example of why the 2nd amendment is in place and of how diligent, respectful citizens protect themselves in a lawful matter with it.
When two white supremacists tried to take out their hatred by attacking a black man in a Fort Myers, Waffle House, they got what they deserved. There is security camera footage, witness reports of each of the workers and a local newcast even secured audio with further information on the altercation. It is not only undeniably justified, but as folks have commented in the comment feed, “play stupid games, win stupid prizes”

He was better off not having the gun on him when police arrived. Every responding cop is going to be on high alert and the last thing you want is a officer at the scene of a shooting mistaking a moment for attempting to go for you gun.

I don’t agree John. He had called 911 and they knew he was an armed permit holder. It’s very easy to let the cops know you aren’t a threat. I would have holstered my gun and maintained conyrol of it. Glad it worked out well in this situation.

Zimmerman’s actions since that night have shown that, while he was not found to be criminal in his actions, he very likely was immoral. His profiling and stalking of a young man through a neighborhood clearly were alarming enough that Martin felt threatened enough to react.
