In the early 1990’s, Donald J. Trump sent his 727 to transport 200 Marines home after their tour of duty ended. A logistics screw-up left the 200+ Marines stranded with no way home. That’s when The Donald stepped in.

Stickney says that his father—a Korean War veteran and former Eastern Airlines captain—claimed to have never seen a 727 turn around and refuel so quickly. His father was so appreciative of Mr. Trump’s help; he said he would fly for Trump for free to thank him for what he did.
Stickney says that in his 28 years of public service, he has yet to see this kind of support for the troops from any of the other candidates running for president: “I have not seen a Clinton or Sanders plane, or anything else for that matter, sent to support the troops.”
Could you imagine a Sanders plane? As far as Clinton… he did fly that Burkle plane, the one called Air**** One.
Americans like what they see and hear from The Donald right now. With stories like this out there, his opponents will be cooking up lies around the clock.
Election 2016 is nearly within Donald Trump’s grasp.

Despite the rumors on base, it’s clear that Trump had nothing to do with the dispatch of the jet to the troops stranded at Camp Lejeune. The aircraft that ferried the troops was part of the Trump Shuttle fleet, at a time when Trump barely had control over the airline and was frantically trying to negotiate deals with bankers to prevent the collapse of his business empire.
Trump Shuttle had a contract with the military, and this flight home was part of that contract. Simple as that.
