An unprecedented 105 retired Navy admirals and two Marine Corps generals are warning the Obama administration that U.S. security will plummet to all time lows if more cuts to the naval budget are made.
Obama is already completely eliminating the highly successful Tomahawk missile program, known as the worlds most advanced cruise missile, by 2016.

My point is that we are spending a lot of money. If the money is not going to the Navy, it is probably because people advising the President are suggesting more money go into other defense programs that they deem to be more important.
For all the hype about government debt, it should be obvious that we cannot continue to spend more than the next 15 countries combined (and many of them are our allies) on our military.
