While they have been busy politicizing the coronavirus issue, House Democrats have not forgotten to grease the palms of their favorite lobbyists. The latest stunt by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has featured an attempt to guarantee federal funds for abortions into the coronavirus economic stimulus plan.
This is not the first time Democrats have used a crisis to fund their D.C. interests. Former Obama White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel, infamously declared “Never let a crisis go to waste.” The Democrats are making good on Rahm’s maxim.
Aside from trying to fund their friends, the Democrat party could not be more excited to have a distraction from the incompetence of the Biden Presidential campaign. The coronavirus’ media-induced panic is providing excellent cover and the left sees it as a cudgel to strike at the Trump administration.
