TEPCO Releases 850 Tons Of Fukushima Ground Water Into Pacific Ocean

TEPCO has released 850 tons of “decontaminated ground” water from the Fukushima site into the Pacific Ocean.  They maintain their filtration device removes the high levels of radioactive material, like cesium and strontium, from the groundwater.  The fisherman however fought hard to have this plan scratched stating they felt any amount of radioactive material would contaminate the marine life, evidentually harming their local fish.
